Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Monday said that her government would take all necessary steps to protect the lives and property of the country people.
“We’ll take all necessary steps to thwart anarchy by BNP-Jamaat alliance,” The Prime Minister declared while addressing a rally at Suhrawardy Udyan in the capital city on Monday afternoon.
The ruling party organised the rally to commemorate the Homecoming Day of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
Addressing BNP Chairperson, Sheikh Hasina said, "She did not thwart January 5 elections. Now she, alongwith her ally Jamaat, started waging a millitant movement. She was unable to emerge a leader of common people rather a leader of millitants."
The Premier also criticised her arch rival terming Khaleda Zia "queen of militancy, terror and corruption".
"BNP does not believe in Bangladesh’s independence and sovereignty. BNP chief has gone made because of the implementation of the judgement against the war criminals," she added.
