Gaibandha: A man was killed and three others sustained burn injuries as miscreants hurled a petrol bomb to a bus at Kalitola village in Gobindoganj upazila on Sunday night, sixth day of the blockade forced by the BNP-led 20-party alliance.

The deceased was identified as Parvej, 35, of Rangpur district.

Police said the man, a passenger of the bus was crushed under the wheels of a truck when he hurriedly got down from the bus as miscreants hurled a petrol bomb to the bus around 11:45pm.

The injured were ad,itted to Gabindaganj Upazila Health Complex.

On information, police rushed to spot and recovered the body.

Gobindoganj Police Station officer-in-charge Zahidul Islam confirmed the incident.
