BARISAL, Dec 31: Result of Junior School Certificate (JSC) examination under Barisal Education Board (BEB) was announced on Tuesday with 97.92 pass rate, the highest pass record in the history of BEB.
A total of 10,285 received GPA-5. In JSC under BEB girls have done better than boys as 6330 girls received GP-5 with 98.14 per cent pass rate out of 49,708 examinees while boys 3955 received GPA-5 with 97.70 per cent pass rates out of 45, 685 examinees. BEB sources said 2020 out of 96,468 examinees failed in the JSC examination under Barisal Education Board this year.
Examination Controller of BEB Prof. Muhammad Shah Alamgir, said the pass percentage this year improved much in comparison with the last year's.
Only a few number of the examinees were absent in the JSC exam under the board, he added. Barisal Cadet College topped the list of the best schools in this year's Junior School Certificate (JSC) examinations under Barisal Education Board attaining 91 points.
Barisal Govt. Girls High School stood second with 90.860 points, Taslima Memorial Academy got the third position with 89.277 points, Lalmohan Ha-Mim Residential Academy took the fourth position with 86.885 points and Barisal Zilla School became fifth with 85.959 points.
