Magura: Health Minister Mohammad Nasim today said Awami League will stay in power till 2019 and the next general election will be held as per Constitution.
The minister said this while addressing a memorial meeting of leader of masses late Asauzzaman's 21st death anniversary on Magura Nomani ground.
He said BNP repeatedly sought for election and dialogue but it's not possible to hold any dialogue with them. The January 5 election was to protect the constitution although BNP with their close ally Jamaat conducted a massacre across the country to avert the election.
State Minister for Youth and Sports Sri Biren Sikder, MP, and Bangladesh Red Crescent Society chairman professor Dr Sirajul Akbar, were, among others, present with acting president of Magura District Awami League Tajel Hossain Khan in the chair.
