NARAYANGANJ, Dec 23: Shafikur Rahman Badal, a top terror in Rupganj upazila of the district, is allegedly enjoying warm hospitality instead of facing interrogation at the police station during his remand.
The Narayanganj Court on Sunday after hearing Badal's remand petition granted a two-day remand for Badal.
It has been alleged that as per instruction of  local  lawmaker, police behaved well with Badal during remand. Instead of interrogation, police served good meal to Badal.
According to sources, RAB-11 arrested top terror Badal with firearms at a special drive from his village Ishakhali under the upazila recently. RAB recovered one gun, two pistols, 135 rounds live bullet and two Chinese axes from his possession.
Local sources said Badal is leading a gang of 70 people though he has no legal source of income. The local administration has never investigated into his income and expenditure.
Although the underworld criminal was threatening many people of Rupganj including industrialists, businessmen, public representatives, no one could not resist him.
Local people alleged that though Badal was carrying arms freely, the local administration was silent against him.
