BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia on Thursday alleged that the current government has sent democracy into the grave by usurping the state power.
"The country's independence and sovereignty are now in a deep crisis, as democracy has been sent into the grave," she said in a message.
The message was issued on the occasion of the 134th birth anniversary of 'Majlum Jananeta', the leader of the downtrodden, Moulana Abdul Hamid Khan Bhasani.
Khaleda alleged that the current democracy annihilator government, which is a cohort of hegemonic force, has been in office by grabbing the state power through the January-5 farcical election.
She called upon people to resist the aggressive and hegemonic forces imbued with the bravery and ideals of Moulana Bhasani. ?UNB
