Reminiscence and memorial meeting on Qayyum Chowdhury today

The Faculty of Fine Arts (FFA), University of Dhaka, will organise a reminiscence and commemorative programme for recently deceased artist Qayyum Chowdhury today at 11:30am at the FFA premises. Veteran artists Mustafa Monowar, Samarjit Roy Chowdhury, Hashem Khan, Rafiqun Nabi, art critics professor Nazrul Islam, Moinuddin Khaled, Dr Syed Azizul Haque; Abul Hasnat, editor of Kali O Kalam; among others, will take part as discussants.
Qayyum Chowdhury was born in 1932 in Feni. He graduated from Government, Institute of Arts (now Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Dhaka) in 1954.The artist had held four solo exhibitions and he participated in many group exhibitions at home and abroad. He illustrated many books, journals, little magazines and more.
