
The deceased was identified as Arzu Laskar, son of Ekramul Hossain laskar of Parla-Purbopara area.
The 22-year-old Arzu's family members alleged that Shahin, one of his co-players of the same area locked in an altercation with him over a decision during playing Badminton and at one stage, stabbed with a dagger leaving Arzu critically injured.
Locals rushed Arzu to Magura Sadar Hospital where on-duty doctor declared him dead.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Magura Sadar Police Station Mohammad Zahangir Alam quoting witnesses said Arzu was killed in a row over a trifle matter during playing Badminton.
"We are trying to nab the culprit involved in the killing," the OC added.
No case was filed till sending this report at 9pm on Monday.
