A Dhaka court on Monday rejected the petitions filed by BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia seeking adjournment of the recording deposition in corruption cases.
Judge Basudev Roy of the Special Judge Court-3 passed the order.
Earlier, the court rejected four petitions of Khaleda Zia seeking time.
On March 9, Basudev Roy framed charges against nine people, including Khaleda Zia.
The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) filed the Zia Orphanage Trust graft case with Ramna Police Station on July 3, 2008, for embezzlement of over Tk 2.1 crore by forming a “fake” trust which existed only on paper.
On the other hand, the ACC filed Zia Charitable Trust corruption case with Tejgaon Thana on August 5, 2010 accusing four people, including Khaleda.
