Kathmandu, Nov 27: Prime Minister's Media Adviser Iqbal Sobhan Chowdhury on Thursday said that not only Bangladesh but all SAARC member states will benefit from the signing of the energy cooperation deal.
"By this cooperation, a possibility of resolving power and energy crises of the SAARC countries unfolded today [yesterday]," he said at a press briefing at the media center at Raddission Hotel in Kathmandu following conclusion of the SAARC Summit.
Signing of the treaty is one of the major achievements of this year's summit, he said adding that the 18th summit ended very successfully.
The PM's Adviser said that people of the South Asian region would benefit from the implementation of the 36-point Kathmandu declaration.
The prime minister will leave Kathmandu for Dhaka at 10:30am today (Friday).
