KATHMANDU, Nov 26: Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in a meeting with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina here on Wednesday highly appreciated Bangladesh's tremendous success in containing terrorism.
As for the meeting between the two prime ministers of Bangladesh and Pakistan, Iqbal Sobhan Chowdhury, Media Advisor to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, told journalists that Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif paid a courtesy call on Sheikh Hasina with his delegation at Hotel Soaltee.
Both the prime ministers discussed issues relating to politics, extremism and power and they agreed on the importance of continuation of democratic process for development, he said.
Asked about the war criminals issue, Iqbal said that the two prime ministers did not discuss war crimes issue.
Hasina invited Nawaz to visit Bangladesh. In reply, the Pakistan Prime Minister said that he would soon visit Bangladesh after holding discussion on the matter at the government-level.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina also held meetings with the Prime Minister of Nepal, President of Afghanistan and Prime Minister of India. picture on page 20
