GAZIPUR, Nov 25: A record number of around 5 lakh applications were received by the National University (NU) through online for the 1st year honours admission test in the session 2014-2015, says a press release.
Vice-Chancellor (VC) Professor Dr. Harun-or-Rashid at a meeting on Tuesday said "around 5, 37696 admission seekers have applied for NU admission test this year".
This is first time a large number of applicants applied for the admission. It's a new record for NU. The university has adopted a new policy to reduce session jam. As a result, students can complete their four-year honours course in the due time. There will be no session jam in the past years and for the future, VC added.
Among others, Pro-vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Aslam Bhuiyan, Prof. Dr. Moonaz Ahmed Nur and Treasurer Prof. Md Noman ur Rashid, Deans, Registrar, Controller, Senior officials were Present at the meeting.
The admission test will be held on 19 December, Friday on 11:00 am at around two hundred examination centres.
