Former Post, Telecommunication and Information Technology Minister Abdul Latif Siddique returned home on Sunday night.
A flight of Indian Airlines, carrying the expelled Awami League leader, arrived at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at about 8:40pm.
He left the Airport at about 21:30pm, a source in the airport informed.
Arrest warrants have been issued against Siddique following several cases filed against him with various courts in the country for his remarks against Hajj, prophet Mohammad (PUBH) and Tablig Jamaat.
On October 12, Abdul Latif Siddique was dropped from the Cabinet for his comment. Later on October 24, ruling Awami League also expelled him from the party permanently.
Siddique's comment regarding hajj and the prophet at a programme in New York on Sept 28 drew widespread condemnation.
