KHAGRACHCHARI: Two trainee members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) were killed and five others injured in Grenade explosion at the cantonment area on Sunday afternoon.

The victims were identified as Sepoy Hasan and Nayek Subedar Abul Kashem.

BGB Headquarters sources said the two members of BGB battalion-16 succumbed to their injuries caused by an accidental grenade explosion during a combat training in the cantonment around 12:25pm.

The injured are Nayek Subedar Masud Rana, Lance Nayek Nasimul Islam, Sirajul Islam and captain Saiful Islam.

The injured were brought to Chittagong Military Hospital.
