Tangail: An oil-bound tank-lorry, a bus and a covered van that caught fire on the Dhaka-Tangail highway in Basail upazila on Tuesday morning, is now under control.

The fire originated around 8:30am when covered van hit the oil-bound lorry from behind near a petrol pump. The covered van and a bus also caught fire.

On information, six fire-fighting units rushed to the spot and doused the fire after frantic efforts.

Transport movement on both sides of the Dhaka-Tangail highway became normal around 11am which earlier remains suspended following the incident.
