BNP chairperson Kahleda Zia sat in a meeting with her advisory council members on Monday night to discuss the country's latest political situation and work out the party’s next course of action.

The meeting began around 9pm with Khaleda Zia in the chair at her Gulshan office in the capital.

Sources said the meeting is likely to discuss about holding an election under a neutral non-party caretaker government.

Besides, the overall issues of the party would be discussed at the meeting.

BNP acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir and 25 members of her advisory council attended the meeting.

Meanwhile, Khaleda Zia will hold her second meeting with the party's joint secretary generals and vice-chairmen on Tuesday night. Later, she will also hold another meeting with the party's standing committee members on November 13.

The BNP chairperson last sat with the advisory council members nearly 18 months back.
