5 killed, 2 injured in Habiganj road crash

HABIGANJ : Five people were killed and two others injured in a collision between a truck and a pick-up van at Kamaichora in Bahubal upazila.

Two of the deceased were identified as Binu Miah, 34, and Faruk Miah, 22.  Both hailed from   Nasirnagar upazila of Brahmanbaria district.

SI Nannu Miah of Kamaichora police outpost said a  truck collided head on with a Habiganj-bound pick-up van at about 10:30am, killing two on the spot and injuring five other.

The injured were admitted to Bahubal Upazila Health Complex where on-duty doctor declraed three dead, the SI added.

The bodies were sent to Habiganj Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy.
