Three people received splinter injuries as miscreants hurled two crude bombs at East Jurain in the capital on Wednesday morning, police and hospital sources said.
The victims were identified as Mohammad Sumon Mia, 42, son of Tara Mia, Rifat Sarker, 13, son of Atur Rahman and Imran Mia, 18 of East Jurain area under Kadamtoly Police Station.
"They were injured as two crude bombs were hurled targeting them while they were standing in front of a sweetmeat shop at Commissioner Road of East Jurain at about 9:30 am," Sub-Inspector Amena Begum of Kadamtoly Police Station said.
They, however, took first aid at Dhaka Medical College Hospital, she said. "It's not related to the hartal; the incident occurred following a dispute over land in the locality," she added. A case was lodged with police station concerned in this connection. ?BSS
