A Dhaka court on Wednesday deferred the charge framing hearing against 26 BNP men, including its Acting Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, till December 8 in a case filed under the Speedy Trial Act.

Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Tarek Mainul Islam Bhuiyan fixed the date as the defence pleaded for time.

A case was filed with Paltan Police Station on March 2, last year, for vandalising and torching vehicles.

Fakhrul and most of the accused were not present in the court today.
