Another cache of ammunition recovered in Satchhari forest

HABIGANJ:  Yet in another drive, Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) members  recovered another cache of ammunition from Satchhari forest in bordering Chunarughat upazila on Friday.

RAB-9 sources said some 9,454 bullets were recovered from two new bunkers in the dense forest at about 1pm.

The recovered ammunition include 8,360 7.62 mm bullets, 152 bullets of 3.3 rifles, 517 bullets of 9mm pistol, and 425 bullets of 12.7mm machine gun.

Besides, 80 magazines, five wireless sets, one radio set and 11 boxes were recovered from the spot.

RAB-9 Comanding Officer Riyad Rahman Rabbani confirmed the media about the arms recovery.

The elite force on Thursday morning recovered a huge cache of arms and ammunition, including three machine guns, four spare barrels and eight magazines, from a bunker inside Satchhari, near the Indian border.
