RAJSHAHI, Oct 16: Speakers at a discussion here said instead of neglecting the physically challenged people, they should be built as efficient workforce to make a prosperous Bangladesh.
They also said the government should take up long-term plans to solve the existing problems faced by the country's physically challenged people instead of relying on relief-based approaches.
In this context, they viewed that the charity-based approaches and projects don't yield the desired result as they leave out a large part of the physically challenged population, who need it the most.
The observations came at a post-rally discussion held at the conference hall of Rajshahi Chamber of Commerce.    ?BSS
