Housing and Public Works Minister Engineer Mosharraf Hossain on Wednesday said a final contract with Singapore would be inked within a short time to establish Purbachal Satellite City.
"The government is examining the co-operation proposal of Singapore government. Within a short time, a final contract would be made," he said.
On Tuesday, visiting Senior State Minister for Foreign and Home Affairs of Singapore Zulkifli Masagos expressed willingness to provide financial and technical support to make a well-equipped satellite city in Purbachal area of Dhaka. The representative of the Singapore government reiterated the desire while meeting Mosharraf at his office on Wednesday,  according to a press release of the ministry.  
Masagos said his government considered the project as a model, he said.
