Ex-Indian President Abdul Kalam due Friday to join MCCI programe

Former Indian President and acclaimed scientist Dr APJ Abdul Kalam arrives here on Friday evening to take part in
Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce and Industry's (MCCI's) celebrations marking its 110 years of service on Saturday.

Abdul Kalam will deliver the keynote speech at a function to be held at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre (BICC) on Saturday, said an official at the MCCI.

Finance Minister AMA Muhith will be preset as the chief guest at the function to be held with MCCI President Rokia Afzal Rahman in the chair.

Industries Minister Amir Hossain Amu, Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed and Chairman of the organising committee and MCCI Vice President Anis A Khan will also speak at the function.

A gala evening will also be held on the day marking 110 years of its service.

Director, Sasin Graduate Institute of Business Administration of Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok Prof Dipak C Jain will attend the function as the keynote speaker.
