Kader Siddiqui seeks apology for his brother

Krishak Sramik Janata League President Abdul Kader Siddiqui, younger brother of Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology Minister Abdul Latif Siddiqui, apologized to the countrymen for his brother’s comment on holy hajj, Prophet Muhammad (SM) and Tabligh Jamaat.

Bangabir Kader Siddiqui sought apology at a personal press briefing held at National Press Club on Saturday.

He also urged Latif to seek apology to the countrymen without any condition.

‘Nation is shocked about Latif’s recent comment on hajj, Prophet Muhammad (SM) and Tabligh Jamaat, we are also shocked. I'm belonging to a Muslim family. I came here to protest my brother’s comment’, said the leader.

 ‘On behalf  of my family I beg Pardon,’ Kader Siddiqui also added.

The leader added 'Minister Latif Siddiqui is nobody to me, but the person Latif Siddique is my brother'.

Habibur Rahman Talukder, general secretary of the party, also protested against Latif Siddiqui’s comment during the press conference.

On September 28, Latif made derogatory comments on hajj and Tabligh Jamaat while addressing a reception arranged by the Tangail expatriates in New York.
