Awami League leader Dr Hasan Mahmud on Friday observed that the country's all people, except for BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia, are living in peace now.
"Bangladesh and its people are in peace now. Only Khaleda Zia is in a disturbed state," he told a rally organised by Bangabandhu Manch at the National Press Club in the capital.
Describing the reasons for Khaleda's uneasiness, Hasan Mahmud said many cases are pending against her two sons residing abroad while his party leaders are on the run. "She finds nobody, except her domestic helps, by her when she announces any action programme. Although the country's people are in peace, it does not come to her notice for this reason."
The ruling party leader also noted that only a vested squatter is criticising Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina whereas the entire world has hailed her for establishing peace in the country. "It has also been manifested during the UN General Assembly."
The rally was presided over by Bangabandhu Manch president Niaz Mohammad Khan.    ?UNB
