The inspector general of police (IGP) has lauded investigators for probing Narayanganj's sensational seven-murder case with 'utmost transparency and professionalism'. Speaking to reporters on Saturday in Narayanganj, IGP said the progress of the investigation had been "satisfactory". Seven men, including former Narayanganj City councillor Nur Hossain, were abducted on Apr 27. Their bloated bodies were found floating in the Shitalakhyya River after several days. Hossain's family has accused elite police unit RAB of taking Tk 6cr from prime accused Nur Hossain for carrying out the crime. Several former RAB-11 officials, including its ex-commander Tarek Sayeed Mohamad, have reportedly confessed to their crimes in the court. ?bdnews24.com
