Chittagong, Sept 27 : BNP chairperson's adviser Khandker Mahbub Hossain on Saturday alleged that the government has brought the 16th amendment to the constitution to diminish the independence of the judiciary by keeping judges under psychological pressure. "The judges will remain under political pressure as parliament's power to remove judges has been restored with the 16th amendment," he said. Khandker Mahbub was addressing a roundtable discussion, titled 'Constitutional Amendment: Democracy and Good Governance', organised by Forum for People's Voice at a city hotel. ?UNB
