CHITTAGONG, Sept 27: Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) on Saturday arrested two human traffickers and rescued 17 people from Bahadder Pukur Par under Chandgaon thana in the district when they were being trafficked to Malaysia illigaly. The arrestees are identified as Humayan Kabir, 27 and Taslim Uddin Emran, 28. According to RAB source, acting on a tip-off a team of RAB raided at Bahadder Pokor Par area at around 12:00 am and rescued the fortune seekers. Later, RAB handed over the people to Chandgaon Police Station who has been trafficking to Malaysia. Sayed Abdur Rab, Officer-in-Charge of Chandgaon Police Station said, the two traffickers were planning to send the rescued people to Malaysia illegally through water-ways. A case was filed with Chandgaon PS in this connection and rescued are now under police custody, he added. The rescuer are Abdul Waheb, 67, M Milon, 25, M Selim, 30, Hasan Ali, 28, Ahmed Ali, 20, Abu Hasan, 19, Nowser Ali, 28, Abdul Motaleb, 25, Jalal Uddin, 25, Mir Iqbal, 26, Ramzan Ali, 35, Rafiq, 40, M Shahdin, 35, M Wasim, 27, Mamun Miah, 20, Sagar Miah, 23 and Hiron Miah, 17.
