Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) members arrested six suspected people from different parts of the capital early Saturday for their alleged involvement in Moghbazar triple murder case.
But, police did not yet disclose the identity of the arrested people.
RAB sources said, during the primary interrogation, the detainees confessed their involvement in the murders.
On August 28, Kala Babu, a local terrorist, along with some other terrorists went to the house of Munna and Ranu at Sonalibagh at night and demanded extortion from them. Failing to get extortion, Babu shot at the residents, leaving three dead on the spot. The dead were Ranu Akhter, her brother Munna and one Billal.
Md Shamim alias Kalachan, elder brother of victim Ranu, filed a case with Ramna Police Station on August 29.
Meanwhile, Kala Babu, the prime accused of the triple murder case, was killed in a gunfight with the members of Detective Branch of police in the capital on September 15.
Police also arrested two people in this connection who were, later, placed on five-day remand each.
