A Dhaka court on Wednesday differed charge framing hearing against 129 leaders and activists of Jamaat-e-Islami and its student wing, Islami Chhatra Shibir, in a case.
Tareq Mainul Islam Bhuiyan of Speedy Trial Court set September 18 for the next hearing as one of accused former Shibir president Dr. Fakhruddin Manik was not present in the court.
On February 13 last year, Jamaat-Shibir activists vandalized vehicles, blasted cocktails and creating panic by torching vehicles at Motijheel area in the capital demanding the release of war crimes convict Delwar Hossain Sayedee and to cancel the International Crimes Tribunal.
Later, police filed a case with Paltan Police Station.
