
CHITTAGONG : Former minister, deputy speaker and central BNP leader Engineer LK Siddiqui died at Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore on Friday morning. He was 83.
District (North)BNP convenor Aslam Chowdhury said Siddiqui was admitted to the United Hospital in Dhaka after he fell sick at his house. The BNP leader was taken to Singapore on Wednesday night following deterioration of his condition.
The body is likely to be flown in from Singapore on Friday night.
