MADINAH, SAUDI ARABIA: BNP Senior Vice-Chairman Tarique Rahman on Sunday took part in an Iftar along with Bangladesh Jatiya Party (BJP) chairman Andalib Rahman Partha and Jamaat leader Delwar Hossain Sayeedi's eldest son Masood Sayeedi in Madinah.
Before joing the Iftar, they offered Asr prayers.
On condition of anonymity, a Saudi Arabia-based BNP leader said they exchanged pleasantries with each other and discussed about the prevailing political situation in Bangladesh.
Besides, Partha and Masood Sayeedi enquired about Tarique's health.
Maulana Raqibul Islam Madani conducted fateha and munajat before Iftar seeking divine blessings of the country and its people.
Saudi Arabia Western BNP unit president Ahmed Ali Muqib and expatriate BNP leaders and activists were present at that time. At the same time, BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia took Iftar at the designated place for women at Masjid al-Nabawi after offering fateha and munajat at the grave of Prophet Muhammad (SM).
