The first and only cafe, Cafe M, of Mohammadpur commenced its journey on first of April this year.
The distinctive quality of the cafe is its cozy interior and artistic decor using bamboo accentuating the dim lighting. There is also the traditional and rare 'paati' to sit on.
While entering the cafe a soothing, soft melody floated in and the sight of the menu was even more interesting- their entire menu have been designed on CDs.
Although the menu isn't as long as it should have been the authority has emphasised on availability and quality of the food served. They said they didn't want to have a lengthy menu with most of the items unavailable as in other eateries.
Mohammadpur, with its history of delicious kebabs so far has catered the Kebab lovers exclusively. But Cafe M is different. They serve mouth watering Chicken pasta, mushroom pasta, veggie pasta and BBQ burger, and sandwich, doi borha along with Fruit Tea, Mint Tea and Masala Tea. You will get Espresso and Cappuccino coffee imported from Germany. For the students they have the 'Think Lunch' offer from 12 to 4 pm with ten per cent discount.
The cafe intends to offer special food on occasions and they are eagerly waiting to unveil their menu for the upcoming Ramadan.
The chef, Shabbir Ahmed Sumon, although young is well trained and has been working in this field for the last five years.
Although the cafe is not spacious one can sit with family or friends and enjoy a cozy get together in a homely atmosphere.
Now comes the special treat,Cafe M is planning to introduce 'Women's night' when only women will be allowed to party with good food, singing, dancing and spend a memorable crazy evening with friends and peers.
