Tiger's skipper Mushfiqur Rahim wants a competitive ODI series against Sri Lanka from his teammates as he said they would highlight on their best performance to bring a good result in the three-match ODI series beginning from Monday at Sher-e- Bangla National Cricket Stadium at Mirpur.
"Sri Lanka is definitely a better team and to beat them we have to play our best cricket; I hope we will be able to give hundred percent against Sri Lanka," said Mushfiq in the pre-match conference on Sunday.
The right-handed wicketkeeper - batsman said that they are strong side in the ODI, especially at home ground. They have been playing consistent cricket in the last couple of years at home and hoped to keep the consistency in the ODI series.
Regarding his injury, Mushfiqur said, ' I missed T20 due to injury. There is still some pain but I can play. I played for a long time with this pain and hope not to face any problem further".
In regard to keeping Mushfiq said "I was thinking of keeping. In fact, everything in the field can be seen better from this position and it is a big responsibility as well".
Mushfiq also confirmed that opener Tamim Iqbal practiced well without any problem on Sunday and he will be able to bat today with his full fitness.
He ensured that they have four pacers in the squad and after justify the condition of the pitch they will decide how they will organise their bowling attack today.
