Shirin speaker again, Rabbi her deputy

Ending all the speculations, Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury is going to become the Speaker of the 10th Parliament again, reports UNB.
Awami League Parliamentary Party (ALPP) nominated Shirin Sharmin, who was elected Member of Parliament from Rangpur-6 constituency, for the post at a meeting held at the meeting room of the ruling party at the Sangsad Bhaban yesterday.
 Ruling party Chief Whip ASM Feroz briefed reporters after the meeting.
Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury became the country's first female Speaker on April 30, 2013 after then Speaker Abdul Hamid become Bangladesh's 20th President on April 30 the same year following the death of country's 19th President Zillur Rahman.  President Zillur passed away on March 20, 2013.
Besides, the ALPP selected Jatiya Party lawmaker Advocate Fazle Rabbi for the post of Deputy Speaker while Syeda Sajeda Chowdhury as the Deputy Leader of the House.
 
The 10th Parliament goes into maiden session on Wednesday when the new Speaker and Deputy Speaker will be elected at its first sitting.
