With Sony Nordy sat in the rest Darlington and Wesdon proved  that Sk Jamal DC Ltd. are far from a one-man team scoring the goals in a 4-1 win over Brothers Union Ltd. at Bangabandhu National stadium yesterday.
Nigerian Darlington registered a darling hat-trick netting the ball in 18th, 33rd and 35th minute. The Nigerian opened the net in the 18th minute with a placing shot getting a low pass from compatriot midfielder Okemmir.
Sk Jamal controlled the maximum of an eventful BPL second round match. But in the 27th minute of the match Brothers got a penalty kick when Raihan of Jamal illegally tackled Brothers Union’s Nigerian forward Francis. Brothers Ghanaian defender Issah Yousuf equalised the score utilising the penalty kick and that was their only condolatory goal.
Just after six minutes the agile forward Darlington sounded again in the score sheet. Getting a right sided cross from midfielder Sohel he dribbled two defenders in the box and scored his second goal with a placing shot.
Darlington did not waste time to complete his first hat-trick in the league. Two minutes later of his second goal he scored again with a left footed placing shot getting a ball from Wesdon from right side of the box.
Both teams went for break when the scoreboard was 3-1.
After the break Jamal were looking more attacking. But they spoiled some chances to score.
In the 81th minute Wesdon made the margin 4-1 with left footed volley when the header of Darlington reached to him in the box.
The result could have been 4-2 if the forward of Brothers Jewel Rana would not miss an easy chance to score while he and the opponent’s goal keeper was alone in the danger box in the 54th  minute.
“It is a very bad defeat for us. I am very upset as my players are under pre-pared and Jamal is an experienced team.” said Syeed Naeemuddin coach of Brothers.
“I am very happy and it is a great win for us. We always try to gather maximum points, we played well and get it” said Joseph Afusi coach of Sk Jamal.
