Elderly man’s body recovered in M’bazar lake

An elderly man’s body was recovered from a tea garden’s lake at Kamolganj upazila in Moulvibazar district on Friday morning.
 
The deceased was identified as Ramlal Rabidas, 75, a resident of Shamsernagar tea garden area.
 
According to locals, Ramdas went to the lake for a bath on Thursday evening but didn’t return home. Family members started to search for him and found his towels near the lake.
 
Later, family informed police and fire service. Being informed, they reached the spot and recovered Rabidas’s body.
 
Shamshernagar Police Outpost sub-inspector (SI) Masud Ahmed confirmed the incident and said that the body has been handed over to the deceased’s family.
