Man found dead in Rangpur

Police recovered the body of a 68-year-old man from Janpur village of sadar upazila in Rangpur on Saturday night.

The deceased was identified as Shaiful Islam, a resident of Madhupur area of Badarganj upazila in the district.

Confirming the matter, Kotwali Sadar Police Station officer-in-charge Oliv Mahamud said that locals found the body of Shaiful floating on the water of a water canal and informed police.

Being informed, a team of police recovered the body and handed it over to the family after legal procedures.

An unnatural death case been filed with the police station in this connection, the OC added.
