Missing madrasah student's body found in Noakhali

Police recovered the half-melted body of a madrasah student, who had been missing since Monday, from a pond at Sonaimuri upazila in Noakhali district on Wednesday. 

The body was recovered from a pond of near a madrasah under Natessar union in the upazila on Wednesday evening. 

The deceased was identified as Abdul Mannan, 14, son of Kamal, a resident of Mirza Nagar village under Natessar union in the upazila.

It was learnt that Mannan was a residential student under Hifz division of Adorso Darul Arkam Islami Madrasah. He had been missing since Monday (June 10). 

On Wednesday evening, a teacher of the madrasah spotted Mannan's floating  body in a pond and informed police. 

On information, police recovered the body and sent it to Noakhali General Hospital morgue for autopsy, said Masum Rana, sub-inspector of Sonaimuri Police Station.

"He might have died while taking bath."

Legal steps are under process in this regard, the police official added.
