Woman found dead in Narsingdi pond

Police recovered the body of a woman, who went missing three days ago, from a pond in Shibpur upazila of Narsingdi on Sunday.The deceased was Mahfuza Begum, 30, a resident of Mashimpur area of the upazila.
Officer-in-charge of Shibpur Police Station Md Farid Uddin said Mahfuza was mentally challenged. She often left her house without informing family members and returned to home after three or four days.
Quoting the locals the police official said they spotted the body of Mahfuza in a pond and the matter to police around 9:30am on Sunday.
Police recovered the body and sent it to Narsingdi Sadar Hospital for autopsy, he added.
