A truck driver was killed after he lost control over the vehicle and hit a motorcycle and a private car in Chairman Ghata area of Bhatiari union in Sitakunda upazila of Chattogram on Saturday afternoon.
The driver Abdul Mannan, 60, hailed from Daudkandi upazila of Cumilla district.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Baroaulia Highway Police Station Khokon Chandra Ghosh said the driver of the truck lost control over its steering and rammed a motorcycle and a private car in the area at around 2 pm.
The truck driver died on the spot and three students who were on the private car injured.
He said being informed, the highway police recovered the body and the injured students and sent them to Chattogram Medical College and Hospital (CMCH).
