A youth was reportedly shot dead in Chakaria upazila of Cox’s Bazar on Tuesday night over previous enmity.
The deceased was Mohammad Selim, 38, son of Nur Mohammad.
Selim contested in union parishad election from ward number-1. His nearest rival union parishad member Jahed Sikdar started to threat him after winning the polls, victim’s family members claimed.
Cox’s Bazar Additional Police Super (Chakaria circle) Rakib-ur-Raza said they continue the drive to arrest the killers.
