A boy died after being crushed between two buses in Gulistan area of the capital on Thursday afternoon.
The deceased was Md Sumon, 8. He used to sell books on buses and streets.
Quoting witnesses, police said that the accident took place around 4pm near Sergeant Ahad Police Box when the child was standing behind a bus of ‘Jainpur Express’ and a BRTC double-decker hit him and crushed him against the rear of the Jainpur Express bus, leaving him critically injured.
Locals took the boy to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where doctors declared him dead around 4:45pm.
Sumon's stepfather Abdus Samad said they got the news that Sumon was crushed between two buses in the afternoon.
