Pro-govt platforms spreading Tariques distorted speech using AI: Rizvi

BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi on Sunday claimed that pro-government platform spread BNPs acting Chairman Tarique Rahmans distorted speech with the help of deep fake technology using artificial intelligence (AI).

Speaking at a press conference at partys Naya Paltan party office he said, "Not only acting chairman but also BNPs many leaders like BNP standing committee member Gayeshwar Chandra Roy is also the victim of Awami Leagues deep fake technology politics."
Rizvi said, "No leader of BNP will ever ask for money from anyone through video calls like this. If someone asks you for money on a video call like this, then immediately report it to the party leaders. So that we can take immediate action against this kind of propaganda."

Rizvi said the deep fake video is being spread through a few pro-govt online platforms and media outlets and being used for extorting from BNPs well-wishers from home and abroad.

Rizvi said that BNPs IT department identified the culprit Nahid Rain who degrade their image with the help of Awami League (AL).

"It is a matter of great sorrow but the truth is the prime criminal is being promoted in both online and offline by an influential foreigner," he said.

Rizvi demanded the immediate arrest of Nahid Rain for the crime of extortion in the name of BNP leaders.

He said, "Before January 7 dummy election, AL has published numerous deep fake video on social media of their false development by using various international medias anchor and logo."

Moreover, they also made deep fake video about US Dhaka Embassy by using AI, he alleged.
