Fire catches in Pabna filling station

The incident took place at around 6.25pm at Farid Filling Station in Radhanagar area of the town.

According to locals, the fire broke out in the station while unloading fuel from a lorry and engulfed the adjacent area soon.

Being informed, seven firefighter units rushed there and doused the blaze after an hour of attempts, said Zakir Hossain, senior officer of Pabna Fire Service and Civil Defence station.

The actual reason behind the fire and the extent of the damage is yet to be ascertained, he added.
