Two motorcyclists killed being crushed by truck in Laxmipur
Two motorcyclists were killed after a truck truck crushed them at Ramgati upazila in Laxmipur Upazila on Friday.
The accident took place on the Alexander-Sonapur road in Ramdoyal Bazar area at around 5:00 pm.
The deceased were identified as Md Arif, 18, son of Md Selim, and Md Momin, 20, son of Md Monir, residents of Char Algi village in the upazila.
Locals said a goods-laden truck hit a motorcycle from the opposite direction and ran over its two riders, leaving them dead on the spot.
On information, police recovered the bodies and sent those to Laxmipur Sadar Hospital for autopsy, said Ramgati Police Station officer-in-charge Mohammad Saifuddin Anwar.
Legal steps in this regard are under process, he added.
