3 cousins drown in river in Kurigram

Three cousins drowned while taking bath in a river in Rowmari upazila of Kurigram on Thursday.

The deceased were identified as Zinnat Khatun Dina, 10, daughter of Oli Ullah, resident of Sadullapur upazila in Gaibandha, Siam, 13, son of Haider Ali and Hamim, 14, son of Abdul Kader, residents of Rowmari upazila.

Locals said the three cousins drowned in the Sonabhori River in Khanjanmara area around 12pm while taking a bath in it.

Rowmari Police Station officer-in-charge Hasan Inam confirmed the matter.
