4 of a family killed as bus rams CNG-run auto-rickshaw
Four members of a family were killed when a bus rammed into a CNG-run auto-rickshaw at Kalihati upazila in Tangail district on Friday afternoon.
The deceased are: Al Amin, principal of Bhodroshimul Dakhsin Government Primary School under Bhuapur upazila in the district, his wife Sheuli Khatun, also a primary school teacher, and his parents.
The names of the parents could not be known immediately
Elenga Highway police outpost in-charge Kamal Hossain said the bus collided-head on with the auto-rickshaw at Rabna Bypass area on the Dhaka-Tangail Highway, leaving five passengers of the auto-rickshaw and its driver critically injured.
The injured were sent to Tangail General Hospital where the four succumbed to their injuries.
