3 JMB men get 14yrs in jail
A court in Chittagong sentenced three members of banned militant outfit Jama'atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) to 14 years imprisonment in two separate cases filed for attacking bombs.
Chittagong additional chief metropolitan magistrate Shahadat Hossain Bhuiyan handed down the verdict.
The three convicts are Chittagong JMB commander Jabed Iqbal alias Mohammad, Shahadat Ali and Jahidul Islam.
According to the case statement, the convicts snatched away three JMB men from a prison van on way to Mymensingh court by blasting bombs on February 23, 2014.
Later, on October 3, 2005, militants threw bombs on the court of second joint district judge Abu Syed Diljer Hossain and metropolitan magistrate Akram Hossain when trail were on.
