2 siblings die mysterious deaths, one falls sick in Gazipur

Gazipur: Two siblings died mysterious deaths while another fell sick in South Salna area under Gazipur City Corporation on Tuesday reportedly after taking morning meal.

The deceased were identified as 10-month-old Shakil, and Humayun, 7, sons of Md Rafiqul Islam, hails from Haluaghat upazila of Mymensingh.

Islam's daughter Rubina, 12, who also fell sick, has been admitted to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital (MMCH).

Family sources said Islam alongwith his children took morning meal with pangash fish.After sometime, Shakil fell sick. He was taken to Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmed Medical College Hospital in Gazipur where the on-duty doctor declared him dead.

After returning to house with Shakil's body, Islam found his two other children also fell sick.

Humayun died on way to the MMCH while Rubina was admitted to the same hospital.

Md Aminul Islam, officer in-charge of Joydevpur Police Station, said police recovered the body of Shakil and sent to morgue for autopsy.

The reason behind the death could be known after postmortem.
